It's parent teacher conference time and that means early release days as we move into Thanksgiving break. What do we do in a short week of school? We keep learning every day!
Students will learn more about how Moses directed the construction of the first tabernacle ar Bible time. We'll update our prayer requests and take time to notice how full our cross display is with answered prayers.
Students will review sounds, letters and rhyming words in reading. We will be learning through games and direct instruction in reading centers each morning.
This is a great week to practice Christmas songs! We'll fit in a daily practice before updating our calendar and story time.
Central to this short school week will be discussions on being thankful. We'll talk about how all good gifts come from God and He deserves honor and glory. We'll discuss how to show gratitude to our parents over the break. We hope all the kids go home and try to be helpful and kind.
At teachers, we're so thankful for each student and family in our class. We are blessed to work in a fine school and have the chance to learn with so many wonderful people.
I hope your hearts are overflowing with thankfulness this week,
Mrs. Luoma
