It's a full week, full speed ahead!

We're excited to see what a full week feels like as we learn and play on our first Monday of the school year.

This week in Kindergarten we'll be focusing on the letters Ff, Rr and Hh.  Please remember to help your student review the letters and sounds as we cover them at school so they are prepared for our quiz each Friday.  As we read books, student will be learning the parts of a book in a song (front cover, back cover, title, spine).

We will finish up our first chapter in math on comparing and sorting this week.  Then we'll begin working on numbers 0-5.  Most students know how to count well already, but writing numbers is often a challenge.

In Social Studies we will continue to understand where everything is in the rooms of our building and what the jobs are of the people who work at BLS and BLC.

The class is having fun in music, Spanish and PE.  We are learning more about our 'special' teachers and what their job entail. In art we will explore lines and patterns.

Our learning centers at the end of the day are in organized groups now.  Students will focus on reviewing concepts through teacher led games.

Blessings on your day,

Mrs. Luoma
