Our Last Full Week!

Yes, it's a little sad and a lot exciting that this is our last full week in Kindergarten!  We have several things to wrap up in our studies and lots of organizing to do in the classroom.

In Bible we finished the story of Saul becoming Paul. We discussed how it's never too late for a fresh start.  For the remainder of the year we will be doing brief devotions and answering questions about the Bible.

Our class will study how to count syllables in words.  We will be doing lots of reading and writing as we finish up our books and complete our last writing assessment.

We will study money in math.  Today we discussed the importance of money to our lives, and how we use addition and subtractions skills when earning money or purchasing goods.  Today was all about pennies.  Students enjoyed playing at a penny store during learning centers.

This is also a week of giving thanks for all the volunteers who help make our class a great place to learn and grow.  We have much to be thankful for and good people are on the top of the list.

With a thankful heart,

Mrs. Luoma
