We wrapped up several year long projects today, just in time for the end of school.
In Bible time we talked about being peacemakers and seeking God's peace in our lives. We said good bye to our Bethlehem Buddies at lunch, understanding these friends from BLC were praying all year for us. They prayed each child would grow in faith and in friends and in all their learning. They certainly did! Our class took a last look at our cross of answered prayers on the back door, knowing God cares for them personally.
We put the last stickers on our class tooth chart in math. Then we analyzed the data from the school year. This class lost 19 teeth!
Students took a second look at our Road to Reading poster we began at the beginning of the year. We realized we all have learned a lot about reading and writing. Reading and writing well means we're walking closer to our dreams every year.
In writing we looked back on how each student wrote their name when they began Kindergarten and the improved each trimester. Every student almost couldn't believe they once had trouble writing their name properly. Now writing our first and last names comes easily and quickly. That's was good practice produces!
This has been a fun day of looking back at all the progress we've made and looking forward new learning next year. That's what growing up is all about.
Giving God the Glory,
Mrs. Luoma
