How does it rain?

Today in science we learned about the forms of water: ice, gas and liquid.  Then we did an experiment demonstrating how clouds fill with water until the water drops out the bottom of the cloud.  Our class sure loves to do experiments!

This morning at Bible time we heard about the sad fate of Adam and Eve (and all humankind) after the first sin.  It's good their is a solution to our sinfulness through Jesus.

We wrote the letter Jj today and practiced it's sound.  Once students finish their table practice they get to do a variety of reading games to continue learning through play.

In math we combined several skills to compare groups, count, write numbers and identify groups that had more or less. Everyday one student is the class meteorologist and gives a weather report during calendar time.  Our weather scientists also measure the temperature on the playground at first recess with an infrared thermometer.  During math we graph the daily temperature in the sun and in the shade.

After a great time in the gym for P.E. we focused on science.  At story time we heard an interesting story about hard work, fairness and forgiveness.  Students identified the beginning, middle and end in the story.

Thursday is library day, so we had fun exploring new books in the BLS library and recording our learning from science.

It was a solid day in Kindergarten; we are learning and making progress!
