It was a long break with teacher conference last week. We returned refreshed and happy to be together with the class again. We miss our friends and they miss each other over breaks.
We had a productive morning with a music lesson and then beginning a new Bible story on Gideon. We will be learning how God calls us to be leaders and provides the way.
In math we are practicing understanding and extending patterns. We added an extra challenge by relating the color pattern to a corresponding letter pattern.
After lunch and PE in the gym we practiced writing our new sight words: is, little. Students found sight words in their new reader #7.
Our story was one full of jokes about a pair of chopsticks. Students identified the parts of a book and information on the front cover.
At the end of the day we played to learn by playing games on the OSMO, designing fall spiders, building and playing a letter game.
It was a good start back at school, we're looking forward to a great week of learning and fun.
