We have so much to be thankful for in kindergarten! Great parents, great kids and spending time together each day learning is a blessing. Thank you for raising such wonderful children, it's a joy to see them grow.
We have a very short week ahead with just two early release days and then Thanksgiving break. Mrs. Arnold and I will be meeting with parents to finish up our parent-teacher conferences in the afternoons and evenings.
At school, students will focus on what being thankful is all about. We'll see what God has to say about the subject, and talk about why we are thankful.
We'll be reviewing reading and writing skills. At story time, students will discuss an informational book about the Pilgrims and a funny narrative about Thanksgiving.
Students will practice our songs for the Christmas program. We'll learn what a cornucopia is and paint one to decorate out classroom.
After this longer break, we'll have several surprises in place for our students. There will be a new seating arrangement and we'll welcome a new student to our class!
We can't wait to hear about everyone's Thanksgiving and hope it is a blessed time for every family.
Thankful for each of you,
Mrs. Luoma
