This week we'll have Wednesday off from school to honor Veterans. We hope you have a conversation at home about how we should be thankful for the sacrifice Veterans have given to our country. I hope you'll have the opportunity to thank a Veteran in person this week. We'll have a special Veteran's Day chapel on Tuesday.
At our Bible study time we will focus on practicing for our portion of the Christmas program. Our class will tell the story of Mary visiting Elizabeth.
In reading we will cover letters Vv, Yy and Ww. Practice these letter sounds at home! Yy and Ww are the most commonly missed letter sounds. We will cover sight words: he, she, we. Remember to practice reading sight words daily to help your child memorize these words. We will continue sharing our opinions with reasons after story time.
Our class will study careful counting using numbers 6-10 in math plus learning how to writing these numbers correctly.
In social studies we will learn about the economics of using money to buy what we need and want and that we live in a world full of consumers and producers.
On Friday students will use their cutting skills to make a city scape at night. I'm hoping we'll be able to finish the week with our second Bear Party!
Praying you have much to be thankful for,
Mrs. Luoma
