It's been fun to learn more and more each week about Ladybugs with our class. We are discovering insects are interesting and complex. This week we will learn about the types, habitat, food, defense and enemies of our little beetles. On Thursday we hope you'll swing by the school so we can give you some live Ladybugs to observe in a magnifying cube. After their written observation, students should release their beetle in a good habitat and wish them well.
This week in the Bible we'll study some of the interesting adventures Paul had as he traveled around and told people Jesus was their Savior.
In Reading we will study the sight words: may, play, pray. It's a good time to learn the many sounds 'y' can make in a word as we know several sight words where that letter changes. Students will finish their timeline writings for the seasons of Kindergarten by writing about the Spring and Summer. We hope you staple your seasons together and keep them as a great way of documenting this year.
In Math we will finish up our chapter on using numbers to 30. Then we'll begin a little unit on Money. Save your coins to help your child sort and count change.
Friday Mrs. DeGraaf will have a fun art project for us.
Keep up all your efforts to finish this year strong. All your hard work will pay off!
Mrs. Luoma
