Today we heard some great suggestions from the class on how to work as a team at school and in their table groups. Students described good teams as groups of people who all work, all share and all share the same goal. Now table will have the chance to put into practice what they know by learning to work together to achieve goals.
Congratulations to Yellow team for winning the challenge on our last character word 'patience'!
This morning we started learning about word endings and specifically the ending 'ing'. Learning blends and endings helps us become better readers and spellers.
It was fun to begin a new math chapter today, we will be learning about 2D and 3D geometric figures. This week we'll focus on two dimensional figures.
After PE we learned about the woman who washed Jesus' feet and then poured perfume on them. Since we are voicing our opinions, it's interesting to hear how the class often has the same reaction that the disciples did in our story. It show how much a fallen, human nature is a part of us all.
We heard a funny story about finding your voice at story time. And we got a mysterious note from someone....maybe a library mouse in our classroom!?
We practiced learning skills at iPad/OSMO time and some students read individually with a teacher.
It was fun to be with your kids today!
