Encouraging Others with Scripture

It's National Lutheran School's Week!  That means celebrating the combination of teaching Biblical truth and the high standards of a academic education.  Each day we will do something to serve others and to have fun.
Today we wrote notes to people we know that need encouragement.  We wrote a scripture to help them focus on God and His love.  Each student was excited to share God's truth.
Later in the week we will write notes to go out with the Meals on Wheels meals.  Come to Open House on Thursday to see how your child wants to pray for your family.
In math we will be decomposing numbers and writing addition sentences, then we'll be doing a lot of practice problems!
In PE the class is practicing for the team relay race that will happen on Friday for Indoor Olympics.  It's already so much fun!
We began learning about how Jesus treated children from the Bible today.  Our class is learning, Jesus loved kids very much and really valued each one.
We wrote our number words during writing...they are our new sight words for the quiz this week.
The 8th grade class came down to accompany us to the book fair.  They helped us find book titles to put on our wish lists.
At story time the class identified vocabulary from a funny story about a cow climbing a tree.  We finished the day getting in some vowel identification with short and long 'i'.

We worked hard and had a great day!
