Weather and Space

Today in science we learned how meteorologists use data from space satellites to understand weather patterns.  The class was interested in how the science of weather was connected to space.  We emphasize how jobs use multiple areas of study.
At Bible time we learned why Jesus chose to stay in the temple when his family was leaving town.  We prayed to value knowledge and understanding like Jesus did even as a child.
Our class had a fun time reading with their 8th grade friends this morning...and dancing together.  We worked on sorting words with a short or long vowel 'e' in reading.
In math we dove into addition, finding multiple ways to make four and five.  It was easy for some and challenging for others.
After PE we heard a funny rhyming story about baguettes and recalled story events.
In learning centers we stamped words in Play Doh, looked at books, built with Legos and worked on a project for next week's Open House.
It was good to see so many back from being ill.  We still have a ways to go.  We're praying for good health for all our families and staff.

Blessings on your evening,

Mrs. Luoma
