Celebrating a successful Fall Fest!

This morning we had chapel with Pastor Andy and learned more about how very important it is to live in truth and tell the truth.  After chapel we had a Fall Fest Assembly to celebrate the great effort everyone made gathering donations for our school and participating in the races.  There were lots of ribbons and prizes and smiles!
Our music and spanish teacher, Mrs. Borgman is off on maternity leave and Mrs. Anfinson will be her substitute.
In math, we practiced careful writing of numbers 6, 7 and 8.  The class is learning the connection between accurate writing and good communication with numbers and letters.
After lunch we tested more boats and learned from our designs.  We're learning design, weight and balance are are factors in carrying a load in a boat.
We practiced reading our 'I Can Read Reader' #7 in reading.  Remember to listen to or read with your child at home.  Keep those reading logs up to date!
At story time we heard an interesting tale about an elephant and several blind mice.  The class identified details in the story.
Our day ended with a turn in the library and technology lab.  In technology we practice basic skills while learning coordination with the mouse.
Learning is fun!
