What materials are magnetic?

We began our day learning about how God's people took their 'church' with them, carrying the parts of the tent tabernacle along in the desert. The story reminded us how thankful we are we can meet together in a building to worship God.
The class practiced writing a sentence and illustrated their work for our wall of writing.
In math we learned how to write the numbers 9 and 10 correctly.  We talked about the importance of clear and accurate writing with numbers and letters.
After lunch we heard a cool story about sloths and the class used the illustrations to answer questions and add to the text.
In science we are testing objects for their attraction to magnets.  Today everyone made a prediction and then tested objects.  Tomorrow we will organize our data on a poster and make conclusions based on the materials tested.
We read through our 'I Can Read Reader', identifying sight words and highlighting them.
Our Tuesdays end with a trip to the school library for new books and time to spend on learning games in the technology lab.
We are becoming a fine group that works well together!
