Word endings

We've worked on word beginnings for awhile, now we will explore the world of 'ed' and 'ing'.  Today we practiced finding, writing and reading words that ended in 'ed'.  With every new discovery we become better spellers and readers.
At Bible time we finished the story of Pentecost.  Soon we will be learning the Lord's Prayer and what each phrase means.
At story time we heard a story along the same line as 'The Three Little Pigs' except this story was about gators.  We are working on forming opinions as we compare texts.
In math we counted up the table points earned from our 'Kindness' time period.  Congratulations to green table.  We're in new seating arrangements now with a whole new chance at earning points.  Now we are working on showing respect with our voices and actions.
Students continue to share their writing with the class as they read their 'Seasons of Kindergarten' books using the document camera.  Our students in the audience learn to be good listeners, give positive feedback and new ideas.
At learning centers we worked on some Mother's Day projects, practiced sight words and building 2D figures.

Looking forward to the sunshine coming out this week,

Mrs. Luoma
