Today we began learning a cool song that our class will sing at Kindergarten graduation in June. Yes, the end is in sight and it's exciting to get ready for a great finish.
At Bible time this morning we learned more about what happened at Pentecost and continued our discussion on the Holy Spirit.
We had a fun digraph and blend review in reading and took a sight word and digraph quiz.
In math we enjoyed predicting what 3D shapes would have the ability to roll, stack or slide. Students learned to use word to describe their thinking and sort shapes by their physical qualities.
After lunch we heard a story by Eric Carle and discussed how he makes his illustrations.
Several students read their 'Seasons of Kindergarten' books. Watch for the videos in See Saw!
We continued our oral quiz on ladybugs in science.
Mrs. DeGraaf taught us to do a wonderful art project based on Chihuly's glass work...super colorful and fun. Watch for our finished project in the hallway.
We finished the day in learning centers where we wrote, made shapes on geo-boards, built with shapes and made pictures from shapes.
It shaped up to be a great day!
