Our class is doing great with addition, we are getting faster and more accurate as we practice everyday. Soon we will be working on word problems, it's a joy to see how quickly everyone is learning.
In chapel this morning Pastor Andy taught us how to be peacemakers at school.
We spent some time writing in our writing journals after chapel. Everyone is getting better and better at sounding out words.
In reading we are learning about 'y' as a vowel. We practiced making a sentence with words where the 'y' has a long 'i' sound. It was fun to see everyone's illustration and how proud everyone was to read their sentences.
Our day ended with learning centers where we stamped our names in play doh, created rainbow pictures, played a sight word game and made new words that rhymed.
