We are ready to move ahead in learning and thankful for a full week without extra events and practices. This is an important time to keep up with sight word practice and homework. Help your student come prepared every day!
This morning we began the Bible story of Jesus calling the twelve disciples. We will be learning a few stories from Jesus' ministry years and then prepare for Easter.
At story time we heard a story from our curriculum collection on having multi-cultural families. The class compared and contrasted characters.
In math we counted up table points and awarded blue table the winners of 'patience'. Now we are in new seats and working on all the ways we can show 'kindness'. We practiced addition problems and using the strategy of counting marks and pictures to check our work.
In reading we practiced our sight words and went on to write upper and lower case alphabets.
We defined and described what kindness was, tomorrow we will each make a kindness goal.
In learning centers we created rainbows, built with legos, played a sight word game and made new words with dice.
Great day of learning, Kindergarten!
