Boots and mittens and scarves!

Yes, it's going to be a cold and snowy week, so remember to dress your kids warmly each day.  We are having a great time in the snow at recess and it's even more fun if we stay warm as we're playing.
We began the Bible story of Jesus' birth today.  It's amazing how many angels God uses to send people important messages.  Hence, we are learning you should always listen to an angel!
In reading we compared two texts and wrote about vocabulary and answered a question with a good sentence.
We practiced keeping numbers in counting order in Math.
The class had lots to say about the different kinds of severe weather we are learning about in science.  We heard a book about weather and gave our opinions about our favorite type of weather.  Part of learning to give opinions is learning to state why we think they way we do and to respect others who have a differing view.
The class drew Christmas pictures for their Bethlehem Buddies coming to lunch on Friday.
The day ended with Mrs. B. leading a music practice for our Christmas program.

Enjoy the snow and stay warm!
