Today we began reading the stuffed animal stories our students dictated to their 8th grade friends. They recalled the details and sequence of the happenings that occurred on our Teddy Bear Picnic day. It's great fun to see how proud each child is of their story. It's interesting to hear the different facts and details each one included in their tale.
Our morning began in chapel where we learned about the history of Columbus Day. It was fun to see the first group of SOAR awards go out. Congratulations to our Kindergarten leaders who received awards today.
We took a short test in math on position words and patterns. In reading we covered the letter Oo and practiced identifying finger spaces in a sentence. We practiced letters, sounds, patterns and counting in learning centers to end the day with fun and smiles.
Have a fine evening, hug your kids!
Mrs. Luoma
