We practiced counting carefully to eight today and made eight legged spiders. The class is doing well with their counting as we move into larger numbers.
At Bible time this morning we practiced our verse and then thought of prayer requests to help us forgive others.
We took a phonic and writing quiz and then identified sight words from our take home reader.
Our 8th grade friends came down to help us read this morning and made our day by dancing with us before they left.
At story time we learned the benefits of getting enough sleep from a silly book about a squirrel.
Mrs. DeGraaf taught us about how Native Americans use totem poles to retell stories. Then we got to color and design our own as we listened to Native American flute music.
In learning centers we worked on spiders, completed a survey on the iPads and separated magnetic and nonmagnetic items from sand using magnet wands.
Have a fun, restful and thankful weekend. We love your kids!
Mrs. Luoma
