Determination at the tables!

It was very exciting to begin our week with a new sitting arrangement!  Everyone is getting used to their new place and now has the chance to make new friends.  We change places about every month and a half throughout the year.  We also started a table team competition; now tables will earn points for good behavior, specifically showing determination to follow directions, try and keep a good attitude.  And yes, there is a prize for the winning group!  I am a real believer in rewarding good behavior.
This morning we finished the Bible story of The Fall.  We learned that Jesus offers us forgiveness for our sins and through His sacrifice we draw near to God and look forward to heaven.
In our stories today we practiced asking good questions as the book was read.
Our class had P.E. in the gym this morning and then recess.
In math we worked more on positional words; before and after...great words for all subjects.
After lunch we heard a story about life in a pond.  Then we read, played letter games and worked on the letter Jj.
We started on a chart to help us remember what determination in our class would look like and sound like.
We ended the day by playing a math dice game, sorting and feeding a monster the right letters.
It was a fine Monday!
