Tests are fun!

Tests are fun?  Yes, that's the attitude we want our students to have; tests should be a celebration of what we have learned. I believe each child in our class is bright and I want them to be proud of their learning.  When we have a test students show their progress or the test tells me that I need to do some reteaching.  Either way it's a win!
We had an excellent time in prayer this morning.  We thought about what we need God to help us with and everyone had a specific area they wanted to do better.  I know God was pleased to hear his little ones ask for guidance and strength to do right.
In reading we had our first phonics/writing test.  You'll see the results on Monday.
We are working on positional words in math; we'll cover several important words that can be used in many other subjects.
We heard a great Dr. Seuss story at story time and used illustrations to better understand the text.
In art we cut and glued amazing night time city landscapes.
The ended with play and learning by sharing books, creating with play doh, building and playing letter games.
It was an excellent day!

Blessings on your weekend,

Mrs. Luoma
