Our day began with prayer outside our school as our class prayed for our school, community, and country. If you were driving by then you would have seen the whole school out praying. Our 8th grade class stepped up as spiritual leaders and prayed with us. This is the annual 'See You At the Pole' day where school kids lift up the name of Jesus in praise and ask for God's guidance.
We practiced finding the spaces between words in sentences and remembering to use finger spaces to write sentences.
In math we reviewed our chapter on numbers 0-5 in preparation for our test tomorrow.
After lunch we recalled story events and then read in small groups using the sight words I, am, the and little. At the tables we practiced our new sight words and the letter Hh.
It was fun to end the day with painting pumpkins, writing, drawing and playing phonics games.
Tell your child you're proud of all their hard work!
