This weekend is the BEST to help your child ask for donations for our annual Fall Fest fund raiser event! The more they gather this weekend, the better the chance at winning special prizes. If you are unfamiliar with Fall Fest at BLS, please read all about it on this blog under special events AND read the information attached to the envelop your child brought home today. Fall Fest donations help the school purchase special equipment that will better our school for everyone.
We had a great Friday in Kindergarten. The class thought of all the reasons we are thankful that God created birds. In reading we read, using our first sight word (I and am), we wrote our words and practiced letters. Our hard workers had time to play alphabet games on the floor, too. We had a fun time reading with our 8th grade friends and identifying upper case letter in the text. As we move into chapter 2 in our math curriculum the emphasis is on counting and writing numbers correctly. Today we took on 1, 2 and 3! In the afternoon we had time to update our school map with new people and their job titles. We practiced recalling sequence from a story and acted our new vocabulary words... we know how to wail, waddle and rush! Ask for a demonstration.
I'm pleased with the progress I'm seeing as we all learn to focus, follow directions and try at each new task.
Hug your child, they're awesome!
Mrs. Luoma
