Our class was so happy and excited to host our annual Mother's Day Tea. We practiced all the ways to give and serve and be polite. It was a joy for each student to have special time with their Mom. These events help teach our kids what a joy it is to prepare for a project to serve others. When we were finished, many students said they wished we could do it again...we love these sweet kids!
This morning we studied our Bible verse and had a great time in prayer as we asked God to help us to do what it right. For reading we took a sight word quiz and then created sentences using 's' blend words. We had fun in math discussing capacity and then estimated what objects would hold more or less. The class is finding there are many different ways to measure! After lunch we heard a story about a spider hosting a tea party and recalled the beginning, middle and end. Our art project this week was about spring blooms and the class creates beautiful branches full of flowers.
We hope all our Moms have a blessed Mother's Day, we truly thank God for you!
Mrs. Luoma
