Compare and contrast

Today we filled in a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting two books.  The class did a fine job describing details about the characters and settings.  We are learning that good readers compare and contrast as they read.
In the morning we worked on the first part of our Bible verse and then took time to hear how God's been answering our prayers and to pray anew.  In reading we took a sight word quiz and then designed sentences using 'wh' and 'th' words.  Everyone was excited for their math test on subtraction!  I love how Kindergarten students cheer for tests.  In the afternoon we wrote about our mice.  Next week we will find out the names for Library Mouse and his sister!  Pastor Andy is judging our persuasive letters and will decide the best argument.  We heard the story of 'The Dot' in art and then drew and painted big dots and not-a-dots.  In learning centers we read, drew, played a number game and built with legos.
This was a fine day and a great end to our week!
