We turned our missed Christmas party into a Happy New Year celebration this afternoon. The class was thankful to have a special snack, play 'tape the nose on the snowman' and have our gift exchange. It gave us lots of practice at being grateful givers and sharing joy.
This morning we finished the story of Jesus teaching at the temple at Bible time and caught up with prayer requests. We identified ending sounds in words in reading...a new challenge! In math we practiced our math strategies of careful counting and counting on from a group of ten. After lunch our story was categorized as expository as we heard about the true life of a captive gorilla. We worked on writing skills on our names and then wrote a little in our writing journals. In art we mixed colors! The class was delighted to see new colors appear as they mixed different primary colors together.
It all added up to a sweet day in Kindergarten!
Have a fine weekend; remember God loves you!
