After a delayed start due to the weather, we heard a good chapel message from Pastor Andy about having the right foundation in our lives. We need to build our life on the foundation of faith just like a wise man builds his house upon a rock. Our Indoor Olympics teams had a meeting to determine what student will do each event in the obstacle course finale. I hope you're all planning on coming early on January 15th to watch the big competition in the gym; it is amazing fun!
We heard a narrative story about dinosaurs at story time. For the next few weeks the class will hear all the books nominated for this year's Washington Children's Choice award. We will vote on our first choice once we've heard them all. In reading we worked on identifying beginning sounds and letter formation. At learning centers we made snow flakes, practiced writing numbers with a dice game, built and played a sight word flash light game.
It was a shorter day, but a fine day of learning.
These kids are so bright!
Mrs. Luoma
