It was Dressy Day at BLS in celebration of National Lutheran School Week. Our class looked ready for anything this morning and then they showed us how grown up they were as they learned throughout the day. We enjoyed a great chapel message from the 5th grade class on having a firm foundation of faith in our lives. We wrote in our writing journals. At math we practiced counting and comparing numbers to ready ourselves for the test on Friday. Mrs. DeGraaf told a funny story about a little girl and green beans as the class made predictions. In reading we found long 'e' words in sentences and added to our vowel chart. We played to learn in center time by using our taste buds to identify flavors, read sight words, counted on a dot to dot and built castles.
Happy day, good play, great learning!
Mrs. Luoma
