It was fun to see how the kids chose to dress today and learn something about what or who they are fans of... we had sports fans, fruit fans, movie fans, superheroes, family fans, animal fans and historic fans. It's been a great week celebrating our school for National Lutheran Schools week. Next week we're back to standard of dress; ahhh...it does help us concentrate on learning!
In the morning we had a prayer time and practiced our Bible verse. We watched for long 'e' words at Reading and took our sight word quiz. In math we had a test on chapter 6. At story time we finished a book on interesting animals and heard a funny book about G-men. We wrote about our sense of taste. In art we learned what monochromatic means and made crayon pictures just using one color with different shades. After a windy last recess we finished the week off with learning centers where we stamped out our names, played a game about long and short 'e', made marble mazes, said our Bible verse and played sight word games on the iPads.
What a fun week of learning!
