Practice makes you better

One of the important strategies for success is learning practice is important to retain a concept.  Today we began taking extra practice time with the sight words students missed on their last quiz.  The students who got all their words correct went on to practice in different subjects.
After Spanish this morning we learned and wrote our new sight words and practiced reading.  Math was a combination of math and science as we recorded our data from last week's experiment.  Students were encouraged to try the experiment at home to provide more data.  We learned that real scientists repeat the same experiment several times and compare all the data to prove a theory.
It was a hot time in PE playing kick ball.  After we cooled down we practiced our chapel time in the sanctuary with microphones.  We're off to a good start in preparation for our performance on Wednesday.  We took some time to pray after practice, asking God to specifically help us with the things that were hard to remember today.
After our last recess we heard a story about bricks and identified the main topic and several facts from the text.  We also picked out rhyming words.  At the end of the day, some people played iPad games and some practiced words.

Everyone is super excited to shine in our chapel play on Wednesday, we hope all our parents can attend.

Stay cool and be thankful!

Mrs. Luoma
