It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's that time of year...everyone is getting excited for Christmas.  Today we began a fun project as a gift for our families.
At Bible time this morning we learned the name of Zachariah and Elizabeth's son.  Our class is very interested in learning about Jesus' cousin and his role in the Christmas story.
We practiced reading in small groups this morning and worked on a phonics review.  We have a competition going for the best workers.
We identified patterns in number lists in math after practicing careful counting and counting on from 10.
Our class played a hockey type game in P.E.
We heard a funny story and identified rhyming word pairs at story time.
Science was all about exploring the forces of push with basketballs in the gym.  We filmed our experiments and will evaluate the forces later as we review the video.
At the end of the day we played a sight word game, colored beautiful Christmas trees, painted and played with Legos.

It was a very busy day!
