Letters make sounds, once we know sounds, we start reading!! Our class is working through the beginning of the year alphabet review. We practice letter names, sounds and how to write them correctly. Everyone has a strengthen and a weakness. This is a time where we try to everyone to take off with early reading skills. Once we're there, you'll see this group blast off into reading and writing!
At Bible time this morning we heard about how awful Joseph's brothers treated him and yet God protected Joseph.
Reading focused on the letter Jj and reading games.
In math we practiced making patterns with blocks and had some special challenges.
After lunch our class worked on soccer skills outside or P.E.
We had an exciting Social Studies review with table teams; congratulations green table!
At story time we heard a nice story about fall and leaves. We are working hard to learn the parts of a book and story events. It's been fun to share our classes Teddy Bear Picnic stories. They are so proud of their work.
In learning centers we played a sight word game, sound games, designed with blocks and played letter games on our iPads.
Great Thursday, Kindergarten!
