Good Friday is Good

This morning we talked about the meaning of Good Friday and how it helps us to remember the amazing sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross.  We wrote about the first Good Friday and our pictures revealed that each student understood the serious and sad tone of the day.
Pastor Mark helped us to understand more about the day Jesus hung on the cross and brought out the contrast of the hearts of the men who were crucified beside him.  It helped us examine our hearts.
After recess we had fun hiding eggs for our 8th grade friends.  They were surprised that we wanted to do something for them.  The Kindergarten class is learning it's even more fun to give than to receive.  After the egg hunt our class was surprised in the same way by the gifts our 8th graders brought them from their trip to Washington D.C.  Many Kindergarten students now have the vision to look forward to their own 8th grade trip in eight years!

I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend with your family and friends.  Take your kids to church and give the savior praise!
