In science today we observed a cloud forming over warm water when cold air was above. The class has embraced the water cycle with great interest and it's been a delight to see their understanding through drawings. Soon we will study the temperature of our playground over time and graph the data.
This morning we began the Bible story of Gideon. He was another leader picked by God to lead and protect His people.
At story time we heard about farming in the past and present. This was the anchor text we will study for details and comparisons for the next few weeks.
We began a new chapter in math and will count and write numbers to 20.
In reading we had some review practice for some commonly missed letters, read in small groups, and played letter games.
At learning centers we colored gingerbread men, played number and letter games and built structures with friends.
It was a fine day of learning and we were happy to be back at school!
