Using strategies to succeed!

We practiced our Bible verse this morning and spent some time in prayer asking God to help build our character.
For reading we had a letter review and phonics quiz.  Next we listened carefully to a story then answered comprehension and vocabulary questions.  The class is wrapping up our first reading unit and final assessments.
We compared groups in math and practiced our strategies for careful counting.  Our class is learning to use specific habits to keep their counting accurate and neat.
At story time we heard a funny story about a selfish crocodile and recalled details from the text.
In art today we had fun making pumpkin prints with paint and tubes.  And we ended the in learning centers where we counted, used sieves to separate different sized balls from sand, built and played hot potato.

Have a pleasant weekend; rest, laugh and pray,

Mrs. Luoma
