You thought October 31st was Halloween? It is also Reformation Day! This day celebrates the work of Martin Luther. Luther wanted to reform the teaching and practices of the church at that time to align with scripture. Today we encouraged our students to be reformers during their life; to study the Bible and know the truth so they can correct misconceptions when they hear them.
In math we practiced careful counting and comparing number to 10. We listened to our anchor text in reading and learned new vocabulary words. The letter of the day was Uu and we gave it a good practice and study in both phonics and writing.
We had an awesome Harvest party at the end of the day where we made pumpkin crafts, played games and had a wonderful snack.
Everyone was charged up to go home and go on to a night of festivities.
Be safe, and have fun tonight!
Mrs. Luoma
