Writing thank you notes

Our class has been busy writing thank you notes to their Bethlehem Buddies and their 8th grade friends.  We're learning how good it feels to let people know how much they mean to us.  Today we surprised out 8th grade friends with a nice note and they had made one for each of us... double sweet to give and receive.
Our devotion today was about how God wants us to use words that are true, kind and helpful.  It was a good reminder that helps us know when and how to speak.  At story time the class made predictions on high level vocabulary.  In math we learned more about money and practiced identifying the value of different coins.  In the afternoon we spelled new words and made sentences with them.  The class worked hard on heart felt thank you notes for their Bethlehem Buddies.  Our last lunch is tomorrow.
This is the time of year Mrs. DeGraaf and I can look back to the beginning of Kindergarten and see how far the class has come.  This group makes us very proud and thankful.
