Mrs. DeGraaf taught a great lesson in three dimensional paper sculpture today. The class created very interesting shapes, curves and arches on their paper. We are experts now at understanding the difference between two dimensional and three dimensional objects. We always try to cover a concept in multiple subject areas, that's why you'll often see us using a concept in math and art or science, writing and technology.
This morning we practiced our Bible verse and caught up with prayer requests. In reading we took our sight word quiz and created sentences. The class learned how to estimate by sight in math. At story time we learned what syllables were and how to count them in words from our story. We wrote a thank you to our 8th grade friends. In learning centers we painted flowers, read, counted syllables and built houses.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Luoma
