Showing kindness to friends in need.

Sometimes God puts people in your life that need special care.  People who are healing or hurting.  This opportunity has come to our class.  One of our classmates has broken his arm and he'll need a helping hand often with anything that requires two hands.  Today I saw lots of people helping him even before he asked.  That's what Jesus would do and I am so proud to see our class caring for their classmate while he heals.
Another classmate lost her father over the weekend in an accident.  We will talk about it in class tomorrow.  The kids will have time to ask questions and we will answer them with honesty and appropriately for this age group.  When our friend returns to class we will let her talk or be quiet and we will show her she's loved.  Kindergarten children are very compassionate and kind to those who are hurting.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  I encourage you to be open and honest at home and to answer your child's questions as they come up.  We have a God who is a comforter and giver of strength.  We will choose to trust Him.
