The big news is Library Mouse and his sister decided to jump in our cage and let us keep them as pets! The class is so excited to read and write to the mice. We also learned that mice like it quiet, so whenever it gets too noisy we can now remind the class to not scare the mice.
Also big on the agenda of new things was a new seating chart. We are in new places now and can work on our character word 'responsibility' with a new set of friends. At Bible time we began the story of Pentecost for this week. We identified dialog from a text this morning. The class worked subtraction word problems in math. After lunch we began learning about digraphs; this week we will focus on 'th' and 'wh'. In science we learned about the ladybug life cycle. During centers we made ladybugs from play doh, played iPad games, built garages and played a dice subtraction game. It's great to be together and learning again!
