Muscles and Squeaker

Our class wrote persuasive letters to Pastor Andy trying to give evidence that their name ideas were the best.  He narrowed the field and then the class voted on the top four names.  Come in and meet Muscles (who is very strong) and Squeaker (who has a great squeaky voice)!  This trimester we will be working on persuasive writing; our next project is to sell Mr. Haan on a playground improvement.
We had a great prayer time this morning and lifted up those who are lost and hurting.  In reading we had our sight word quiz and then designed and illustrated sentences. We identified circles and triangles in math and added to our geometric knowledge of shapes.  At story time the class heard a funny story about pigs.  We wrote about the spring months and caught up with our timeline presentations.  In art the class created sculptures from clay of ladybugs.  At learning centers we made geometric shapes, read, said our Bible verse and built.  It was a good, solid day of learning and fun.
