This week we will focus on the Easter story at Bible time. This is a life-changing story and we hope to help each student understand the grace and mercy Jesus freely gives.
At story time we related to a book about how to identify and handle a bully. It's a great time to discuss this at home and encourage your child to give and ask for support when they need it.
In math we progressed into our chapter on subtraction...and we will keep practicing until we get it! After lunch we practiced our chapel play. In reading we recapped the use of the letter 'y' as a vowel. We all became 'y' spies and looked for examples from our reading books. Time was short, but I revealed the next science unit is all about lady bugs... and there were squeals of delight. Tomorrow we begin to learn about lady buy anatomy. In learning centers we played a subtraction game, finished an Easter project, built cities and played to learn on the iPads.
Full day, full joy.
