This morning in chapel Pastor Mark asked us this question and helped us see that everyone is our neighbor. He encouraged us to be good Samaritans to everyone we meet. Kindergarten students are great at wanting to help other people and I hope you keep encouraging them to live out their faith at home by caring for their neighbors.
We had a wonderful writing time after chapel. This class is full of great writers and everyone is making significant progress. In math we listed 10 more blessings on our way to 100 by day 100. We began a new chapter on addition; it will be fun and challenging! Mrs. DeGraaf read a story about a boy who stutters at story time and the class identified the problem and solution. We highlighted long 'i' words in reading and finished writing our new sight words. In learning centers we made valentines for our 8th grade friends, played a sight word game and worked on the iPads.
The groundhog didn't see his shadow, but it's still feeling like winter.
Stay warm and well,
Mrs. Luoma
