In art today we started a project for BLSEF. What is BLSEF? Bethlehem Lutheran School Endowment Fund is an evening event for adults who care about our school. You can enjoy hor d'oeuvres, drinks, deserts and bid on many wonderful auction items. All the proceeds go to help deserving families at BLS for tuition assistance. I hope you'll get your tickets soon and come to support our school. The Kindergarten class will have an art entry you might love to hang in your home!
We began our morning with prayer and then started our chapel play practice. It's very exciting and challenging at this point, but we are confident you will enjoy a polished lesson on our March 30th chapel. In reading we had a sight word quiz and then finished work on long and short vowel words. In math we practiced vertical addition and found multiple ways to make the same number. We heard a story about a silly panda who wanted to give away donuts and we identified the main idea and supporting details. Then we finished our review on the sense of sight and wrote a piece on blind people. At the day's end we played to learn in centers of decomposing block towers, reading to friends, building words and making a block city for blind people.
Full speed learning and fun! We love this class.
