Packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child

We had great fun packing shoe boxes with our 8th grade friends!  Everyone in our class packed a box for a boy or girl their age.  The boxes will soon be off to their distant destinations with prayers and the Good News going with them.  This is a wonderful ministry for kids to participate in as they truly care for kids that are in need.
During Bible time we heard more about Joshua as he led God's people across the Jordan River into the Promised Land.
We're having fun in math learning how to organize data on a graph.  In reading we began the letter Uu.  At story time the class made predictions and identified story elements.  We wrote about our OCC boxes during writing.  The class is taking the important step of moving from sounds to making words.

Stay warm and remember you're blessed,

Mrs. Luoma
