How to change the direction of a push

Today in science we experimented with changing the direction of a rolling ball so it could push over a domino.  The class did a great job making adjustments to their designs and loved to test and retest.  This group is very insightful and enjoys a challenge!
We finished the story of Joshua leading the people into the Promised Land at Bible time this morning.  We encouraged everyone to remember what God has done in the past; it gives hope for the future.  At story time we practiced the author-illustrator rap...ask your child to sing it at home for a smile.  We continued making graphs and used data from block pictures to graph today in math.  After lunch we studied the letter Qq  (who is best friends with Uu).  We added the sight word 'of' to our list of words to know.
Our day ended with good learning and playing at learning centers where we counted, wrote word families, played iPad literacy games and continue our physics experiment.  Yay for a great Monday!

Blessings,

Mrs. Luoma
