We are learning with words and numbers proper spacing is essential for making our writing readable! Today we practiced noting finger spaces between words and between two digit numbers. Learning the why is always important as there is a reason for all our learning and application to daily life.
In math we are practicing counting short cuts using ten frames and also how to decompose numbers. This will prepare us for the test on Friday.
At Bible time we lit the second advent candle for love and talked about how much God loved us to send His son to be our savior. We also noted Jesus' humble birth and how God provided just the right place at the right time.
We began our science unit on weather today with having a discussion on facts we already knew and questions we'd like to answer. At the end of the unit, our chart will be a good measure of just how much we've learned.
This week at story time we will focus on visualizing from the text. Good readers see pictures in their minds and visualizing helps them comprehend the story.
We worked on a special Christmas project for our 8th grade friends at the end of the day. The class was excited create something special for their friends.
