Our class got to shake many veteran's hands this morning after the special chapel honoring our military. I hope you'll take the time to help your child understand why they should be proud of their country and the men and women who protect and serve us.
In writing we wrote a sentence about Operation Christmas Child and drew beautiful pictures of our hopes for our boxes.
We are practicing graphing data in math and we did that today with blocks from a pattern.
After lunch the class identified details from a book about imaginary friends. In reading we are reviewing an anchor text and organizing details about the seasons. The class is learning to review and correct misconceptions in their thinking. We practiced finding sight words and reading from our take-home readers.
In learning centers we drew, painted, built words and made marble tracks. Learning through play; we're good at that!
Have a great afternoon,
Mrs. Luoma
